Madelynn + Trevor | Rainier, OR

Madelynn and Trevor met online, unaware that Trevor was working for her dad at the time. After realizing the coincidence and eventually meeting in person, the couple knew they were meant to be together!

During Madelynn and Trevor’s fourth anniversary trip in Moab, Utah, the couple discovered a hidden trail recommended by a sweet older couple. The trail led them to a secluded arch where Trevor spontaneously proposed. The couple sat underneath the arch discussing the proposal and their future plans, and Trevor revealed he had a different proposal in mind but was happy he had the ring ready for the spontaneous moment.

Months later, Madelynn began her wedding dress shopping journey at Charlotte’s. She had a few ideas in mind of what she wanted, looking for lots of lace and detail, but she was open to trying on lots of styles as it was her first time trying on dresses! Her stylist pulled a variety of dresses, and Madelynn tried on a dress she never expected to love. It was a clean and simplistic A line dress, and Madelynn describes having a strong gut feeling that it was her dress.

“It was the most elegant dress I had tried on and I knew as soon as I tried it on that that dress was going to be my dress. There was not a hint of lace or sparkle at all on the dress and it ended up being the most perfect one!”

That same day Madelynn said yes to Estelle by Justin Alexander, she also fell in love with the idea of a custom veil that incorporated lace from both her mothers and grandmother's wedding dresses, and was inspired by a dress she tried on at Charlotte’s! With her stylist's tip of ordering some lace fabric from the other dress she loved, she reached out to Bethany Spence from August Veils, who created the perfect custom veil.

Madelynn and Trevor celebrated their wedding with a charming camping weekend in Rainier, Oregon, where guests were invited to stay from Friday to Sunday. They chose the venue due to the peace they felt in the quiet wooded area, and the ability to take the weekend slowly being a non traditional venue. Madelynn describes her favorite part of their wedding as their surprise announcement to their guests that they were expecting twins after months of keeping it a secret! The A-line silhouette was perfect at hiding the baby bump. Another highlight of the day for the couple was having a private first look before the ceremony, which was a perfect moment of peace to take in the excitement of the day together.

Madelynn’s advice for future brides:

“Don’t stress too hard about the details of everything. The day is going to go by so fast that people are not going to notice the little things. Spend as much time with each other during your day because at the end of the day, it is you and your partner's day not anyone else's”

Congratulations to Madelynn and Trevor and thank you for sharing your story!
