Kelsey and Christian | Oregon Golf Club

HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?

Kelsey and Christian met originally as coworkers at Target. They then both started their careers in mortgage and investment management. After shifts of volunteering for outreach events, they became great friends which eventually led to their beautiful love story.

HOW DID HE PROPOSE?

One of Kelsey's favorite movies is You've Got Mail. Christian took Kelsey on a trip to New York which she had never been to before. Christian worked with one of Kelsey's close friends, Melanie, who lived there to arrange the whole event. They all met up for dinner and then went out for a walk in Riverside park. They were overlooking the same garden from You've Got Mail. As Christian and Kelsey stood for a picture, he handed her a card that read, "Don't you think daisies are the friendliest flower?" Then on the inside of the card was another quote from the movie, "How about coffee, drinks, dinner or a movie for as long as we both shall live?" When Kelsey looked up from reading, Christian was in front of her on one knee.

"It was honestly so beautiful and romantic- absolutely perfect!"

WHAT WAS IT LIKE FINDING THE ONE AT CHARLOTTE'S?

Kelsey was very excited to start wedding dress shopping. She had began looking at dresses online even before she was engaged. There was one dress from Lillian West that she had saved on her wish-list that she absolutely loved. Kelsey had gone to several different places to try on dresses but still couldn't get that Lillian West dress out of her mind. She came to Charlotte's and after putting it on she knew it was the one. It was her all time favorite gown. She was even more excited because she was able to customize it to have an added layer of glitter tulle to real make it the "Kelsey" dress.

"It is seriously so gorgeous and I love it so much!"

Kelsey said yes to Lillian West '66163', this dress has soft, romantic lace trailing down the tulle skirt. It has a gorgeous illusion neckline paired with a deep scoop back.

DID YOU HAVE A FAVORITE MOMENT DURING YOUR WEDDING DAY?

Kelsey had a hard time choosing one part as her favorite so she named a few to share. One of them is getting ready with her bridal party in their suite. It was a great time to relax with her loved ones before meeting Christian for their first look. Which was also another of her favorite moments. They had beautiful pictures taken at the garden entrance. Kelsey said their first look felt super special. Her and Christian also read private vows during their time to allow themselves an intimate moment before joining all their loved ones. Another of her favorites was having a dessert table. Both Christian and Kelsey have a big sweet tooth so having lots of dessert options was a must for them.

"Our reception was so much fun- we were able to visit with so many of our family and friends and celebrate together."

ANY ADVICEE FOR OUR BRIDES-TO-BE?

Something Kelsey found really important when wedding planning was to figure out what was important to her and Christian. During the early stages of planning, many people told them to save money, so they would try to save on a lot of things. Though they realized what elements of their wedding they cared about most to splurge on. They didn't want to have to cut corners on the things they valued for their day. They were really happy with how everything turned out and were able to have the incredible wedding day that they both dreamed of.

"We have zero regrets for hiring our amazing vendors and because of the investment we put into it, we had a very seamless day with the best memories!"
