HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?

We all know the world is a small place, but Sydney had no idea just how small when she discovered Wesley was only a 10-minute walk down the street after the two matched on Hinge...

We even shopped at the same grocery store! We went on our first date a couple of days later at Jamba Juice and knew it was something special after talking on the phone for over 6 hours the next day.

HOW DID HE PROPOSE?

Sydney and Wes had just purchased their first home together, and Wes knew exactly how he wanted to make their closing day even more special. A week prior, Wes had visited the school where Sydney worked and convinced her coworkers to hold a fake meeting after hours, which gave Sydney's twin sister just enough time to drive down and be a part of the surprise proposal. After sitting through what seemed to be a very pointless hour-long meeting, Sydney was finally on her way back home when saw her sister and real estate agent waiting for her outside.

Wes had convinced me he was running late and would be there a little after me, but then I opened up the door and heard our song playing. As I walked up the stairs I saw Wes standing in the living room where he had strung a bunch of lights up, and that was when I knew. He proposed with his grandmother’s ring while our real estate agent filmed the whole thing. I was completely surprised!

WHAT WAS IT LIKE FINDING THE ONE AT CHARLOTTE’S?

We know there are hundreds of options out there when it comes to finding your dream dress, so when our brides walk into our doors we feel so special and want them to feel the same! And even though she had a few appointments lined up, Charlotte's was the first and only stop for Sydney!

Before her appointment, Sydney consulted with her stylist Brittany to discuss her winter wedding and the long-sleeve dresses she had envisioned for her snowy nuptials. But after trying a few on, she quickly realized that wasn't going to work for her. Luckily, Brittany had a few options up her sleeve that completely took Sydney by surprise.

When I put on my dress for the first time, it took my breath away. When I tried it on again after a few others, I instantly burst into tears.

"When I found my dress, I knew it was the one for me"

It had the drama and glam that I was looking for and the detachable skirt was EVERYTHING. I had the absolute best time at Charlotte’s, Brittany is the best stylist I could have hoped for and made the experience so fun!

Sydney said yes to Julia Leigh 5712, a stunning all over lace fit and flare gown with a dramatic detachable skirt.

DID YOU HAVE A FAVORITE MOMENT DURING YOUR WEDDING DAY?

Snow was always in the forecast for Sydney and Wesley's wedding plans. Growing up in Colorado, Wes held the winter seasons close to his heart and knew it would make their special day even more authentic and memorable. After a generous dusting the week prior, all their friends and family gathered at the Pine River Ranch in winter-wonderland Leavenworth, WA to celebrate and honor their love.

My favorite part of the night were all the toasts. We had so many of our friends and family giving speeches that were hilarious and touching while even including a song from my maid of honor, my twin sister, and my cousin and bridesmaid. It was so nice to have everyone we loved all together and to see everyone getting along and having fun was so important to us. I wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding, it was the BEST DAY EVER!

ANY ADVICE FOR OUR BRIDES-TO-BE?

Don’t forget it is YOUR (and your partner’s) day! Of course you want to be accommodating to others you love but ultimately it should be you and your partner's vision. Also, have fun! You are only engaged once as well and wedding planning can be stressful. Take time to enjoy the little things in all the chaos.

Congratulations Sydney and Wesley!
