A match made in heaven!

Steph and Michael matched on Bumble in 2016 and she immediately fell in love… with the puppy on his profile. Just kidding, but Michael’s new puppy was a plus! Their mutual love of beer, sports, and travel brought them closer and they have been together ever since. 

In January of 2022, Steph got a new job and to celebrate, she and Michael went on a spontaneous trip to Hawai’i. Little did she know, she would be having something else to celebrate. At the top of a volcano at sunset, Michael popped the big question and, of course, she said yes!

“I was absolutely blown away, and I love that our friends were able to capture the whole thing on video.”

Steph made her way to Charlotte’s after browsing the online catalog before her appointment. She was able to pick out the exact dress she wanted. Her stylist put her in several other beautiful gowns, but her choice was still the one! Trying on other styles solidified her pick and she said yes to Allure Romance ‘3503.’ 

This style is a stunning A-line with leafy lace on the bodice that trickles down the tulle skirt. The scoop neck and thin straps bring attention to the face and create a canvas for jewelry. 

Steph and Michael got married on August 19, 2022 at Ironlight in Lake Oswego, OR. They had a rooftop ceremony and were surrounded by lots of friends and family. Their venue brought a modern touch to their wedding. For their wedding party photos and first look, they went to the beautiful Crystal Springs Rhododendron Gardens in Portland, OR.  

“The whole day was perfect, and it was so cool having all of our favorite people in the same place. It was the best party we’ve ever been to. It was so much fun that my new brother-in-law accidentally caught my train on fire during the sparkler exit. People were quick to stomp me out and we kept partying until the early morning. There’s a softball-sized hole burned through all the layers of my train now, but at least it’s a funny story.”

Steph couldn’t wait for her wedding day. With seven months to plan, finding vendors was a little more difficult, but Steph wouldn’t change a thing. She recommends brides-to-be to enjoy their day and take in all of the hard work that you have done. Take a step back because it goes by so quickly.
