When it came to wedding gown shopping, Sheree had an idea of what she thought she wanted – something plain, without lace or sparkles. However, something with a little more detail caught her eye.
The first dress she tried on was Julia Leigh ‘5663’, a stunning gown with intricate lace and beautiful detail. It was the complete opposite from what she had envisioned, but it felt right. As a plus-sized bride, Sheree felt beautiful and confident in her choice.
On May 20, 2023, Sheree and Sean's dreams came true as they exchanged vows at Sheree's grandparents' property in Scio, Oregon. The choice of venue was no coincidence – they wanted a wedding that was deeply rooted in family and nature. It was a picturesque outdoor setting that perfectly captured the rustic charm they both envisioned.
One of the most touching moments of the day was when Sheree donned her grandmother's wedding veil. It was a heartfelt nod to the past and a symbol of the enduring love that had been passed down through generations.
As she reflects on their special day, Sheree has some wisdom to share with other brides-to-be. Sheree advises,
"The day goes by so quickly! Take a minute to breathe and soak it all in."
