Megan + Jeff | Mount Hood, OR

The universe works hard, but Bumble works harder. Megan and Jeff grew up only 20 minutes from each other in Pennsylvania, but their paths didn’t cross until they swiped on each other in Oregon. They’ve been together ever since!

Years later, they found themselves in the midst of covid and decided to go on a camping road trip. Their last destination was the beautiful Lake Tahoe. They made a stop at Crater Lake from a picnic lunch and hammocking. Jeff told Megan to look at a rock he had found and, as she walked toward the caldera, he got down on one knee.

Oftentimes when you think you know what you are looking for, something else pops out and surprises you. Megan chose Charlotte’s because of the options and variety. She wanted to be able to try everything on, even if she thought she had a pretty good idea of what she was wanting.

“I tried what I thought I liked and other styles that I was curious about. The dress I ended up with wasn’t something that I would have picked for myself but once I tried it on I knew immediately that it was the one!”

She said yes Lillian West ‘66131,’ a fit and flare gown with lace detailing on the entirety of the bodice and skirt. The perfect dress for an outdoor wedding.

Megan and Jeff were married on June 4, 2022 at Cooper Spur Mountain Resort in Mount Hood, OR. They were hoping for a clear, sunny day for a view of Mount Hood, but it is the PNW, so rain and clouds were not out of the question. They still had a beautiful outdoor wedding with a lush, woodsy backdrop. Their venue also was able to accommodate for and sleep up to 100 people, so they could be surrounded by loved ones from all over.

“One of my favorite parts was just having everyone that we loved in the same place having the best time. I felt like I was famous, it was so much fun. I loved seeing Jeff and his reaction when I walked down the aisle.”

Taking a step back is an essential part of your wedding day. Relaxing and enjoying the day is Megan’s biggest advice.

“On the morning of the wedding, I don’t know what happened, but I just had this sense of whatever happens and it will be the best day of my life no matter what. Don’t sweat the small stuff. There were a few details that I wanted done that didn’t happen but at the end of the day everything was still perfect.”

Soak up every moment and roll with whatever comes your way. Rain or shine, your wedding will be one of the happiest moments of your lives.
