HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?

"Tyler and I met at Oregon State University during our first couple years of college. As two tall people, we caught each other’s eye in the dining hall one evening and the rest is history!"

HOW DID He PROPOSE?

Emily and Tyler are both lovers of all things outdoors and adventurous. So in true fashion, Tyler planned a hike to Scotchman’s Peak, one of their favorite mountain peaks in Northern Idaho, to pop the question.

"We traversed the steep mountain to see the mountain goats and stunning views of the surrounding lakes. As we picnicked at the summit, Tyler got our camera ready for when the goats would inevitably walk by. When they got close we rushed in to place. As I fiddled with the automatic timer, Tyler pulled out the ring and got down on one knee. I was 1000% surprised! I ecstatically said “YES”! We had the moment all to ourselves and later shared champagne and our good news with family and friends while taking in the epic view."

SAYING YES AT CHARLOTTE’S

Emily had always envisioned herself in a fitted gown and when she began shopping around, she immediately gravitated towards the designer Lillian West for their unique, boho-chic gowns. She also knew she wanted that "Charlotte's experience" as two of her close friends bought their dresses here and couldn't recommend it enough! She knew exactly where she wanted to start, but with the unpredictability of 2020 and living out of state, Emily's experience was a bit more virtual...

"I found my dress online through Charlotte’s $99 sample gown sale in September 2020. I commend Charlotte’s for offering this online option and the excellent customer service during a time when trying on in person wasn’t really an option. I was able to chat back and forth with a stylist about my measurements, details of the dress and shipping. I said “yes to the dress” and it arrived safe and sound at my doorstep 24-hrs later."

Emily and Tyler chose Cider Mountain as their venue for its sprawling forest and big, beautiful outdoor spaces. The lodge provided them the ability to keep their bridal party together for the entire weekend and allowed them to spend quality time together. Emily cherished the vows they exchanged during their ceremony and the moments of overwhelming love they felt during their reception.

"There is something so special about being surrounded by your most favorite people. This wedding was “more than a wedding”; it was the first time in a long time that family was able to get together—and they partied accordingly!"
