Emily + Sean | Portland OR

Emily and Sean's love story is a modern-day tale of digital connections and serendipitous encounters. Thanks to a timely visit from Emily's aunt and the crossing paths of their dating apps, these two souls found each other on Bumble. Their journey of love and togetherness led them to a breathtaking proposal and a beautiful wedding day.

Sean carefully orchestrated a magical proposal on May 30th. As they watched the sunset at Lincoln City Beach, Sean took Emily by surprise by getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him. But Sean wanted Emily to have her own proposal moment too, so on July 3rd, during a family dinner in Davis, CA, Emily passed him a heartfelt letter proposing to him, accompanied by his ring nestled in the bed of a toy Coca-Cola truck.

For Emily, finding the perfect wedding dress was a significant milestone in her wedding planning journey. With her research guiding her to the best options for a plus-sized bride, she discovered Charlotte's. Her experience was a dream come true. Melanie, her consultant, made her feel comfortable and empowered, allowing her to try on various styles while curating a selection that aligned with Emily's desires and budget. It was during her second visit, accompanied by her uncle, that Emily found "the one," Madison James ‘Maebry’ - a dress that resonated with her heart and made her feel like a radiant bride.

Emily and Sean chose the picturesque Blockhouse PDX at Pomarius Nursery as their wedding venue. They were drawn to its unique blend of natural beauty and convenience, offering a central location with excellent accommodations for any weather conditions. The venue exceeded their expectations, providing a gorgeous backdrop for their special day. From seeing each other in their wedding attire for the first time to the beautiful floral arrangements, meaningful speeches, heartfelt vows, and even the presence of alpacas, every moment was a cherished memory. The weather, perfectly cool with a golden hour during the ceremony, added an extra touch of magic.

Reflecting on her wedding experience, Emily has some valuable advice for other brides-to-be. She emphasizes that the most important aspect of the wedding is celebrating the love between you and your partner. Don't let the stress overwhelm you; instead, have fun and enjoy every moment. Consider hiring an excellent photographer to capture the memories that will last a lifetime and a planner to alleviate any stress. And for finding the perfect wedding dress or outfit, Emily highly recommends Charlotte's for their exceptional service and inclusive options.

Congratulations to Emily and Sean!
