Brianne & Jon

After meeting in a church community group, Jon asked Brianne to say yes to forever on a cool day in Sept.

“I thought he seemed too normal and not at all nervous so I didn’t think he would propose!”

The pair spent the day hiking through Forest Park and exploring the area around Shepherd’s Meadow when Jon stopped to pop the question!

“As we were leaving, I felt a tug on my hand and I turned right as he dropped on one knee, told me he loved me and that he wanted to marry me!  I quickly said yes before he even really asked!”

Once the question was popped it was time to kick planning into gear as the two prepared for their May wedding.  And what better way to start than the search for the perfect wedding dress?!

“I didn’t know what I wanted, and Charlotte’s was the first place I went!  My stylist, Ryann was the best and most helpful.”

After Brianne’s first appointment she left the shop with a lot of ideas and some solid favorites, but she wasn’t quite ready to pull the trigger on a gown.

“I’m a comparison shopper so I exhausted myself trying on dresses for many days.”

But after some research, Brianne returned to Charlotte’s armed with all the info she needed to make her decision!

“I went back to Charlotte’s and Ryann really listened to me express what I learned about what I was looking for.  My best shopping experience was for sure at Charlotte’s and I am so glad that I found my dress there!”

Brianne walked down the aisle wearing a lace fit and flare gown from designer, Justin Alexander.  Featuring a v-neckline and v-back to match and the most amazing lace trimmed train.  She paired her dress with a beautiful, sparkly hair vine and a simple, delicate tulle veil for the ceremony!

A small bump in the road on wedding day required them to change some things around, but Brianne and Jon took it in strides focusing on the most important part of the day: their union!

“My favorite part of the day was hearing my husband say his vows to me and finally be pronounced husband and wife!”

Besides the big moment of finally being Mr. & Mrs. Brianne says there were a few other highlights from their wedding.

“From getting ready with the most important women in my life, the look on Jon’s face when we had our first look, feeling so zoned in on my husband when we exchanged vows, the father/daughter dance, the speeches…so many memories stand out!”

As the night went on and the dance floor began to boom Brianne will always remember the laughter as her new husband Jon was delivered to her on the shoulders of the groomsmen and then finally the big circle of people on the dance floor swaying to the song “Sweet Caroline” and the giant group hug that followed before the pair made their final exit.

Looking back on her big day Brianne says the best advice is to just enjoy it!

“The essential items will get done, things won’t go perfectly, but you’ll have a great day because you’ll get to be married!”

“Oh, and don’t be afraid to accept offers for help!”
