Annah + Nicholas | Castle Rock, WA

Annah and Nicholas’s story was a true pandemic romance. They met online while both living in Boston, Massachusetts and became instant quarantine buddies.

“From the moment we first saw each other, we knew we were the one”

While Annah and Nick had strong feelings and toyed with the idea of marriage just months in, they decided to wait a year until they had left Boston to make things official. After making the move across the country to Nick’s home state of Washington, Annah felt a proposal in her future. One evening the couple ventured with Annah’s mom to the Oregon Coast.

Nicholas proposed in Seaside, Oregon on the beach in an intimate spot, with Annah’s mom nearby ready to take photos. Annah said yes in front of a gorgeous sunset on September 2nd of 2021.

Now living in Nick’s hometown of Longview, Washington, Annah and her favorite ladies make the drive to Charlotte’s to find her wedding gown! Annah knew she wanted an A-line silhouette dress with off the shoulder sleeves, but was open to what her wonderful stylist had to offer. She was happily surprised by a colorful pink and green lace detailed dress chosen by her stylist Hannah. The dress ‘Johnny’ by Madison James was the exact style she wanted, and the detailing was unexpected but brought her vision to life perfectly. Much like her love with Nicholas, Annah knew immediately that this dress was the one!

The lovely couple decided on Castle Rock Lavender for their wedding venue, a precious family run lavender farm in Castle Rock, Washington. They both loved the scenic spot for many reasons, but it was the enchanting scent of lavender that sealed the deal, Annah being a nature lover and Nick associated the scent of lavender with home. The venue combined with the intimate group of family and friends made for the most magical day.

“My wedding day was honestly one of the best days of my life. I don’t get to dress up very often, but I’ve always wanted to dance around in a big gown and feel like a princess. Our wedding made that dream come true. I also got to marry the love of my life so that was definitely a plus.”

Annah describes her favorite part was their last dance on a little cement platform in a private moment away from the crowd. Another highlight was karaoke during the reception, where Annah’s sister and new sister in law provided a very memorable performance! Their night ended with a stunning sunset, and even more dancing and karaoke under the moonlight with their loved ones.

A note from Annah to brides who are in the planning process and getting overwhelmed:

“My advice for other brides would definitely be to get a wedding planner. We ended up not getting one since we had a wedding on the smaller side, but it would have relieved a lot of stress had we had gotten one”

We wish Annah and Nick a happy marriage and many more years of sunset slow dances!
