Alex + Zach | Aurora, OR

Alex and Zach Eyster swiped right to forever. After a Hinge date out to dinner and bowling, the two were inseparable and continued making special memories to last a lifetime.

The sparks really flew when Zach proposed on a quiet New Year’s Eve of 2021, joined by their cat, Opie. He got down on one knee as Alex posed for a photo with Opie. The next day, Zach continued the surprises by celebrating with friends at Mount Hood for the weekend.

“We celebrated by calling our friends and family, drinking champagne and soaking in the special moment.”

Growing up watching ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ will make anyone excited about searching for their perfect gown, but this was especially true for Alex. She was finally ready for it to be her turn to say “yes.” She fell in love with a gown she saw online. It was not a silhouette she had expected to try on, but she was determined to try it on. On the day of her appointment, Stylist Melanie presented gowns of all styles, but nothing compared to Lillian West #66177. She knew it was hers, just like Zach.

“I felt comfortable in it, it felt like me and I lit up when I had it on. It was the most perfect dress and I knew instantly it was the one!”

The two wed at The Barn at Countryside in Aurora, Oregon. The wedding was held outdoors on a beautiful, fall day in September. Weather can be unpredictable, so it was important to Alex and Zach to find a space that would accommodate the rain. Their venue had so much room for an outdoor ceremony and an indoor space to dance the night away in.

Alex could reminisce on her day over and over again, but the part that she loved most was having the opportunity to have a first look between her and Zach before walking down the aisle. It gave the two a chance to ease any nerves and have a special moment to themselves.

“Another favorite part was just being able to celebrate with all of our friends and family in one space. I remember sitting down at dinner and just taking in that moment of seeing everyone sitting down, laughing and talking with one another and just having a good time. It was a surreal moment and one we will remember forever.”

The most important thing to remember at your wedding is to have fun and enjoy the day. Alex recommends cherishing the moment.

“It can be overwhelming at times but just remember that this should be a fun experience, not a stressful one! Once the day comes, don't forget to take time to soak everything in. It's pretty amazing watching everything come together that you have been planning for and the day goes by extremely fast.”
Congratulations to Alex and Zach! May you spend a lifetime of happiness together.
