I first met my fiance Kyle in high school in English class. We got to know each other through the year, and spent quite a bit of time together over the summer- but didn't start to date until February of the year after! We had become such good friends, and I was worried that it would ruin things if we started to date and then end things badly. He had asked me out on several occasions and I always declined or invited other friends along. I finally asked him out the day after Valentine’s day. We will be getting married a few months after celebrating 10 years with each other! He also proposed in Paris.
I decided to try the Charlotte's virtual experience for several reasons. My best friend bought her dress from Charlottes in 2018 and when we dress shopped there, the staff was amazing and the experience was wonderful! I initially had wanted to dress shop at Charlotte's when I got engaged, but had a few friends convince me it would be simpler if I bought a dress closer to home to minimize extra trips, and to have the shop be close to home in case I needed anything past the initial purchase. But when COVID-19 shut down all wedding dress stores, I started to panic a bit when I was hearing that it would take extra time to order and deliver dresses. I did not want to risk a rush to find a dress, or the possibility of a dress being ordered too late for my date, so I decided that it could not be a bad thing to shop with the only store that had found a workaround with the quarantine!
The virtual experience was such an easy process and the Charlotte's staff worked with me seamlessly to accommodate my work schedule and distance (Portland to Eugene). Holly was amazing at listening to my preferences and at recommending dresses that all perfectly represented my vision and were exactly what I requested. I would also recommend looking online at selections before your appointment so that you can go in with an idea of a style you want. This made the process so fast and simple for me, and helped my stylist quickly understand my style and vision for my wedding!
