The Wedding Dress Trends to Be on the Lookout For in 2023

We’ve been keeping tabs on all the trends that our designers are loving for 2023. So if you’ve been wondering what styles are expected to be taking center stage next year then look no further!

From 3D appliqués and off the shoulder sleeves to high slits and feminine bow details, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite designs that totally hit the spot for these 2023 Bridal Trends.  Be sure to add these gowns to your wishlist and book your appointment with us at Charlotte’s to try them on!

Off the Shoulder

Off the shoulder straps are a fairytale detail that embodies delicate romance.  We’re seeing designers experimenting with the trend by introducing detachable sleeve elements as well that can be part of your dress or left off the gown for a different look.

Suits

Don’t see yourself wearing a dress on your wedding day? For the brides looking for a non-traditional style - we’re seeing wedding suits take the bridal world by storm.  Choose a classic black tux look or walk down the aisle in a more bridal white.  Suits are also a great choice for a second look, rehearsal dinner, after party or any other wedding festivities!

High Slits

Adding a surprising, sexy element to your wedding day look has never been easier.  The high slit trend allows you to show a little leg, even in the fuller skirts of an a-line or ball gown style.

Mock Neck

A unique neckline that gives off a modest, demure and sophisticated feel.  The mock neck design borrows a trend from streetwear and transforms it into a classic wedding day look.

3D Appliques

Wedding Dress embellishment is taking a step ahead with the 3D element.  Designers are experimenting with lace and floral details that leap off the gown and provide an added level of texture to a design.

Capes

The bridal cape is a fun trend that can be an accessory or an attached element of a wedding gown.  We love how this fun accent can be an alternative to a veil!  From lace capes, to flowy chiffon, to tulle wings - a cape can be just the unique touch you’re looking for!

Bow Details

There’s no better way to add a feminine touch to your wedding dress than a bow detail!  We’re seeing bow details take shape in a lot of different forms this year.  From a strap accent, to statement bow on the back of the gown, there are many ways to lean into the bow detail trend this year.
