Today’s featured bride post is about Tayler Minch, and her new husband, Matt!
Matt & Tayler may have met working for Tillamook Cheese Factory but their wedding day was far from cheesy. The pair first met while working on a promotional tour for Tillamook Cheese Factory, so when it came time to propose Matt decided to bring it full circle.
“We were on a trip with my parents and grandparents to the Oregon coast and Matt has planned the proposal with my dad. We decided to take a trip to the Tillamook Cheese Factory and we had all just finished getting ice cream. My dad and Matt were coaxing me in to taking a picture with the bus cut out that they have there and I was not into it as Matt and I had so many pictures with the actual Tillamook buses but I went along with it. We were sitting in the bus and Matt awkwardly got down on one knee next to the bus to propose to me in front of my parents and grandparents.”
The pair tied the knot this past fall at Bella Fiori Gardens. It was a beautiful fall day, perfect for their garden wedding.
“I think that my favorite part was right after the ceremony where Matt and I had a moment to ourselves. We could just be present and catch up on all that had happened while we weren’t together earlier in the day. It was such a sweet moment before we had to go and see everyone.”
Tayler was stunning at her wedding, wearing Martina Liana Bridal Separates. She started off her wedding gown shopping day with us at Charlotte’s, and by the end of the day knew that she had found the one!
“I LOVED working with Charlotte’s. It was my first appointment of the day and at the end of the day I knew my dress was at Charlotte’s. I even called after closing and Taylor K let me come and get my dress even though they were closed! It was such a perfect experience. Then Taylor K even came after she wasn’t working there and helped me try on my dress when it arrived! It was wonderful because my mom couldn’t be there so we Facetimed my mom while I was trying the dress on.”
Planning a wedding can be stressful, but Tayler made the most of her experience and it ended up being a breeze. Her planning skills have even translated into her career post-wedding!
“The wedding planning process was not as bad as I thought it was going to be! I am a type A, serious planner, and now that is my job at the winery I work at, so it was great training for my current job! I loved planning the wedding and checking things off my list. It was also a lot of fun for my mom and I to experience the planning together. I would not have been so great at planning our wedding without my mom!”
You learn a lot along the way, and Tayler found that getting things done early was the key to her success.
“Don’t wait until the last minute to plan things. The more ahead you are on planning the better you will feel! Everyone was so surprised that I only took a week off work for the wedding and not more time, but I didn’t have to because I had so much already planned and done.”
Congratulations to Tayler & Matt! It was such a pleasure being involved in their special day!
