How did you and your husband meet?
Chris and I met at work. The day he started in my group, his manager sent out an email to the team introducing him. After reading his bio (and still having no clue what he looked like) I told my friend “this guy should be my boyfriend.” After some internet stalking (back when Myspace was cool), I realized he was even better than his email bio had made him seem – great looking, loved country music… but alas, he had a girlfriend. However, through work, we ended up becoming good friends and about 9 months later we both found ourselves single and hanging out with friends and co-workers downtown. Another guy asked me for my phone number and when Chris saw that, he immediately asked me out. Our 1st date was a week later at the Taylor Swift/Rascal Flatts concert. The date was fantastic and we’ve been inseparable every since. Chris is my best friend and I attribute a lot of that to being good friends before we even started dating.

How was your experience at Charlotte’s?
It was absolutely fantastic! All the staff at Charlotte’s and particularly my consultant Suzanne and owner Krysta went above and beyond to help me have the perfect wedding! We got my dress, veil, bridesmaid dresses, flower girl accessories, and all the tuxes here. I loved being able to get everything I needed in one place. Everyone we worked with was awesome – extremely welcoming, friendly and organized.  I felt completely confident that my wedding was in good hands with every person I worked with.

What did you like most about working with Charlotte’s?

Charlotte’s and especially Krysta went completely out of their way for me to make sure I had everything I needed for my wedding. I wanted orange bridesmaid dresses and I had the color in my head but had a really hard time finding that color in real life. Finally after many hours or shopping, I found the dress I wanted online. Purely Alfred Angelo dresses in Orange Sunset. Problem was, they weren’t available in stores yet and finding a fabric swatch (to confirm Orange Sunset was indeed the color of my dreams) was a challenge. Krysta tirelessly worked to get swatches and dress samples into the shop for me. She was constantly updating me on timelines, all the while assuring me we had plenty of time to get the dresses ordered in time for the wedding.  After I ordered the dresses (closer to the wedding than I was hoping for) she kept me updated on their shipping timelines and made sure they were going to arrive in time for my girls to still make alterations if needed. And incredibly, when my 6th month pregnant Matron of Honor couldn’t fit in her dress a month before the wedding, Krysta saved the day and was able to get a new dress back to me in about 2 weeks. I cannot say enough fantastic things about this store. I feel so lucky to have chosen to work with them for my wedding.

What did you like most about your wedding?
Chris and I paid for the majority of wedding and reception ourselves and I planned the entire thing (seriously every little detail) including acting as the “day of” wedding coordinator so I felt a lot of pressure to make sure it all came together smoothly. However, to cut down on costs we needed a lot of help from our family and wedding party to pull the whole thing off.

While there are so many things I liked best about my wedding (including the insanely beautiful weather at the Oregon Coast) what I liked the most was how all of our family and friends came together so selflessly to make sure everything was perfect. Everyone was there for us no matter what we needed – from serving as caterers during our rehearsal dinner, putting together centerpieces and table settings, moving a million pieces of antique furniture multiple times, and incredibly, helping us take down the entire wedding in an hour at 11 pm at night in the dark.

I remember going to sleep on my wedding night and truly feeling so blessed. Not only did I get to marry my best friend but I got to do it surrounded by people we love and who truly showed how much they loved us.
