How did you and your husband meet?
Kyle and I met as freshman at Western Oregon University. We had mutual friends and went on lots of group dates. That Thanksgiving Kyle went out of town to be with family. When he got back to school he gave me a stack of pictures to look through from his trip. The very last photo was of a snow covered lawn where he had written in pink lemonade “Mel will you be my girlfriend?” what a sweet guy.

How was your experience at Charlotte’s?
My experience with Charlotte’s was fantastic. I started my dress shopping with Charlotte’s and worked with Suzanne who was so helpful. She really listened to me and made me feel like the only bride getting married that year. I went to a few other shops around town to look at dresses but they couldn’t compare to the exceptional service I got at Charlotte’s. The staff at Charlotte’s made me feel so comfortable and so well taken care of.
What did you like most about working with Charlotte’s?
I loved all of the staff! They were all so friendly and helpful and they really took care of me. It was so much fun having people around that were as excited as I was for my wedding. They were always happy to see me and all had such great attitudes. I knew I was in good hands. As a bride I had gotten some advice to purchase my dress from the shop where I felt the most comfortable and the most well taken care of because you will be working with the shop and their staff several times before your big day. That was a huge part of my decision; the high level of service I received at Charlotte’s made me feel confident in my choice. I went back to Charlotte’s and purchased my dress, my veil, bridesmaid’s dresses and flower girl dresses. I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience I had. I have great memories of my wedding dress shopping experience and it’s all because of them.
What did you like most about your wedding?
I loved getting to spend a few moments with Kyle during our “first look” before the formal photos and ceremony took place. The two of us met in the vineyard and we both talked about how happy we were to be getting married and how excited we were for our future together. I will remember those few precious minutes for the rest of my life. Our amazing photographers were able to get some really romantic photos of us during the first look that I will cherish forever. I’m so thankful to our photographers for capturing not only those priceless minutes, but our entire wedding day.
