How did you and your husband meet?
Ryan and I met at University in 2002. After working near each other for a few weeks, the electricity became too great and we decided to partner up on a project together. Working on the project made us realize that we had potential working together, and had a lot of fun hanging out. During our time together before our engagement we realized that we were great for each other, made a great team and couldn’t spend our lives with anyone else.

How was your experience at Charlotte’s?
My experience at Charlotte’s exceeded all expectations. Since I had lived in British Columbia, Canada my entire life prior to moving to Portland for graduate school in 2008, I was not familiar with any shops or services in Portland. As school was so demanding, I knew that I wouldn’t have time to look for a wedding dress back home, so I asked a few friends at school if they had any recommendations for bridal stores in Portland. One friend highly recommended Charlotte’s. Charlotte’s was the first place I went to start my dress shopping. I hadn’t had much time to look online, so I went into my first appointment with no particular style in mind. From the moment I nervously walked into Charlotte’s I was treated like I was the most important person. I was so happy that Suzanne was able to help me find my dress, bridesmaid dresses, sash, groomsmen ties and many other accessories. She was patient and encouraged me to shop around to make sure my dress was the one. Every other bridal store I went to, I compared it to my experience at Charlotte’s and none of them came close.

What did you like most about working with Charlotte’s?
Every visit, phone call or e-mail my questions were answered efficiently and I was treated with professionalism, which made me very happy. It was so helpful to find everything all in one place. The large private rooms were also an added bonus!

What did you like most about your wedding?
August 28, 2010 was the day I married my best friend. It was the happiest day of my life. Ryan and I were extremely fortunate to have so many of our family and friends there to celebrate with us. We also couldn’t have asked for better weather. Unfortunately the day was over way too fast. I stare at my dress hanging in my closet and all I want to do is wear it again. It fit so perfect and was surprisingly very comfortable. I would do it all over again in a second!
