I have worked at Charlotte’s since May 2016. My favorite part about helping a bride is the connection I make with her. Even though we’re only together for a few short hours, I always feel bonded to her in a way. Wedding dress shopping is an emotional event and I’m so grateful to be apart of this special experience with each bride I help!
Do you have a favorite moment/story from working at Charlotte’s?
One moment that really stands out to me is the look on my brides face when they have found “the dress”! I swear the whole energy in the room changes and she just lights up! Every time I’ve had a bride (or her friends/family) start to cry, I have to hold back my own tears! I love sharing these emotions with them and seeing how happy they are when they’ve found their gown!
What kind of advice would you give your brides about dress shopping?
The best advice I can give is to bring a group that you can trust and who you truly want opinions from…even if that means coming by yourself. If you bring too many friends or family members it can become overwhelming when everyone is giving you their opinions (especially if you don’t ask for them!) It is your dress and your day, so your opinion is the most important!
What do you like to do when you aren’t working at Charlotte’s?
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family. I have a husband and a one year old boy at home and we like to stay busy! We love going on walks, going to the park and just getting out of the house as much as possible. I also play on an indoor soccer team year round and I absolutely love it!
