Here at Charlotte’s many of our gowns are sampled in ivory, but we are often asked, “Does this gown come in white?” The answer is simple, yes. But is white the right color for you? White can be stunning on women with darker hues to their skin, who won’t become “washed out.”
The main reason you see so many ivory gowns is that ivory looks great on almost everyone. The rich tones compliment most skin types and most photographers prefer it. If you’re wondering if you can pull off an ivory dress for your special day, consider this: Unless someone else wears white to your wedding, your dress will look white to everyone else. So, if you’re still unsure, try on both. The gowns usually speak for themselves!
