Getting married is an exciting thing……a big party to share your love with family and friends. You may finally get to realize all of your childhood fantasies about your wedding day. I mean, how often do you get to shop for such beautiful dresses? With all the decisions to make, deposits to put down and guests to consider, It can easily get out of hand. Since I began working at Charlotte’s, I’ve often thought back to my own wedding day. Every detail was perfect, including the dress, and I’ll let you in on a little secret: I let go. I didn’t fuss over the details, and it all came together so well. You see, when there aren’t many things you “have to have,” then there’s not so much that can “go wrong.”
A wedding is a time to show your commitment to another human and to breathe beauty into your relationship through color, texture and taste. It should not be the most stressful day of your life. So if you find that your wedding planning is running your life and you’re constantly worrying about little details, try to remember that there is so much life after the wedding day. And maybe if you just let go, things will fall into place and be perfect.
