Unique bridal shoes from a most unexpected place…..

I just returned from an amazing weekend getaway to the Shakespeare festival in Ashland, Oregon. Not only was the theatre experince completely breathtaking, but I was also quite surprised to find that there is some really great shopping in Ashland. The main street that runs through the downtown area (appropriately called “Main Street”) has some wonderful boutiques with everything from handmade treasures to couture apparel. We spent most of our daytime hours just wandering up and down the street popping in and out of the shops. As we neared the end of Main Street, and thought about turning back and heading for our hotel, we came across one last boutique that turned out to be the shopping highlight of our whole trip!

Gently tucked away at the end of Main Street we found Village Shoes….a fun, trendy, eclectic & totally chic shoe store that was a work of art all in itself. We spent over an hour there trying on all sorts of unique shoes and just marveling at all of the fashion and stunning design work wrapped up in this perfect little package. The shop was beautifully decorated with the perfect mix of vintage & contemporary artwork & furniture and the staff was welcoming, friendly and more than happy to let us play to our hearts content. Not only did I find a couple pairs of shoes that I just had to have but I also found several styles that I thought would be perfect for some of our brides! Manyof today’s brides are looking for that chic, fashion forward shoe to compliment their gown but to also add an edge to their wedding look.
