So, you’re engaged….now what?  If you’re like many soon to be brides your wedding day is an event that you’ve imagined for some time.  It’s a day you hope to be as unique and original as you and your future hubby.  The key to originality is finding inspiration in things you love.  Here are a few ideas to get you started on the road to your impending nuptials.

Do you have an all time favorite movie or show?  If so, choose a song from it to add to your reception play list, or better yet use it as your first dance song.  How about using a painting or photograph you’ve always loved as color inspiration for your flowers or bridesmaid dresses.  Family keepsakes are always a great way to spark the imagination.  For example, maybe you were the lucky recipient of your great grandmother’s lace gloves, why not have a 1940’s inspired soiree?  The rehearsal dinner or reception menu can also be a great way to showcase your originality.  Do you and your fiance have a favorite restaurant?  See if they cater or use a favorite entree as inspiration for the entire menu if your family is handling the food.

It is important to remember that a little orginality goes a long way, don’t be different just to be different!  Classic elements are always widely appreciated and will stand the test of time.
