In an unassuming building on Beaverton’s SW Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway, you’ll find the elegant Charlotte’s Weddings & More. Charlotte’s provides stellar service and a gorgeous – and reasonably priced – selection of dream gowns for everything from a wedding at the beach to an urban cathedral extravaganza. So what’s the “& More”? Accessories, bridesmaid gowns, flower girl dresses and mother of the bride gowns. That’s called convenience, girls.
Charlotte’s has been around forĀ over 20 years, started by Charlotte Shumaker out of her home with just one designer.
She moved into our current location in 1995 where she turned it into a full service bridal boutique offering not only wedding gowns, but also bridesmaid dresses, mom’s dresses, flower girl dresses and accessories.
In June of 2007, Charlotte decided to retire and sell the store to one of her employees.
The store has been reinvented with exclusive designers & newly remodeled rooms. It still remains a full service boutique known for its great customer service and knowledgeable staff. The store is continuing to evolve and create a fun and relaxing experience for brides and their wedding party.

About the Owner, Krysta McLaughlin
A lifelong Oregonian, Krysta earned a degree in Business with an emphasis in Marketing and Advertising from Portland State University. After an early stint in the corporate business world, Krysta soon realized she wanted a career that better suited her passions. Her attention to detail and knack for event planning led her to pursue a career in the bridal industry.
In December of 2005 she started working as a bridal consultant for Charlotte’s and quickly found she loved her job. “Helping brides find their dream dress for the day they marry the man they want to spend the rest of their lives with is amazing.” She loves fashion, accessories, and above all else, is a hopeless romantic who believes in the “happily ever after”.
In June of 2007, she pursued her passion even further by purchasing Charlotte’s and making it her own. Krysta has spent the last four years working to improve the level of service Charlotte’s provides and enhance the look and feel of the store. Her goal is to make Charlotte’s the best bridal store in Oregon and perhaps even the Pacific Northwest.
In her spare time, Krysta loves working out, enjoying dinner with friends, wine tasting, traveling, reading, playing on the water, and most importantly spending time with her family. Her parents, two sisters and their husbands, along with her very special niece and nephew all live in Grants Pass. It is Krysta’s utmost hope that one day the whole family will be up in Portland, and the store can truly become a family business that will be passed down from generation to generation.
